What Is the Income Statement?
The income statement is one of the three major financial statements reported by companies. Each of these financial statements shed light on the financial position of the company in question.
The income statement contains a collection of metrics that show how much money a company earned over the time period in question, how much expenses were required to bring in that revenue, and what the final earnings were.
